The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has said that Heelys, the popular roller-shoes, are associated with more serious injuries than previously thought. The CPSC said Heelys were responsible for 1600 emergency visits in 2006, previously the agency said the roller-shoes were responsible for 64 injuries and one death in 2005 and 2006.Common injuries associated with Heelys are:
- Cracked skulls
- Broken wrists
- Broken arms
- Broken ankles
- Dislocated elbows
