A panel of scientific experts is accusing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of ignoring important evidence and creating a false sense of security among consumers about the dangers of the controversial plastic chemical, bisphenol-A. Bisphenol-A, also called BPA, is used to make hard, clear plastic water and baby bottles shatter resistant and is also found in the linings of most aluminum soft drink and food cans.
