What I would like to talk to you about today is Gadolinium Dye and Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis or NSF. Gadolinium is a contrast agent used during MRIs or CAT scans that helps distinguish between normal and abnormal tissue in the body. It was approved for use in 1988 and has been used in millions of radiological procedures. In fact it is the preferred agent for people who have chronic kidney disease.
